This guide will explain how printing works with PaperCut.

Overview

CITG has a printing system that manages the printers of the colleges. As such, staff and students of the member colleges have a PaperCut printing account to print, scan, and copy.

You can print documents online with Web Print and top up your printer credit in the PaperCut portal.

Adding credit

You can add print credit from any computer as long as you have an internet connection. To purchase more print credit do the following:

  1. Head to your college reception and purchase either a $5 or $10 print scratch card.
  2. Log into our PaperCut website using your ResNet Details.
  3. Click “Redeem card” on the left-hand navigation bar.
  4. Enter the code found on your scratch card.

Alternatively, you can use PayPal. To do so follow these steps:

  1. Log into our PaperCut website using your ResNet Details.
  2. Click “Add credit” on the left-hand navigation bar.
  3. Select the amount you wish to add.
  4. You will then be directed to PayPal to finish the transaction and add the credit to your account.

Printing with Mobility Print

Mobility print allows you to use your own device to print to your college printer in the computer lab.

You first need to download the PaperCut application and login with your RESnet username/password.

  • You can download the PaperCut application client here
  • You can watch a 90 second video on using the application here

Printing with Web Print

Web Print is a utility that allows you to print documents from anywhere. To use this utility, see the following steps below.

  1. Log into our PaperCut website using your ResNet Details.
  2. Click “Web Print” on the left-hand navigation bar.
  3. Click “Submit a Job”.
  4. Select your college lab printer. There are two variants; colour (LAB_xxxCol) and black&white (LAB_xxxBW). Black&white forces the document into black and white; reducing the cost for the document.
  5. Continue through the prompts to upload your document.
  6. Once finished, head over to the printer to release and print your job.

Printing on the Lab Computers

The college provides lab computer for students to do work on. These should automatically be connected to the respective printer, and thus you should be able to print as normal.
Keep in mind to select the right options for Copies, Page Range, Colour/Black&White and Duplex.

Once printed, head over to the printer to release and print your job.
